Event Details

Know Your Numbers is a free health screening program held at community locations around Norwalk. At Know Your Numbers events, staff measure participants’ blood pressure, blood sugar (A1C), body mass index (BMI), and waist circumference.

Participants receive:

  • a written summary of their numbers on each of these four measurements, which they can bring to their next doctor’s appointment,
  • guidelines from the American Heart Association and other public health sources about these measurements,
  • education about healthy eating, physical activity, managing stress, and other healthy behaviors that can help improve their numbers,
  • connection to local health care provider for those who don’t have a medical home, and
  • information about community resources like food pantries, SNAP, and the Norwalk Community Resource Hub to help with other needs.

Screenings are held monthly at the Norwalk Library.
No appointments or insurance are required to receive a free screening.
